VALYRIA is an international progressive power metal band based in Alberta and Washington state. Their name, drawn from the mythology of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, evokes the vast mystical landscapes and epic tales the band aims to weave for listeners.

VALYRIA is seeking an interested record label to collaborate with on the release and distribution of their upcoming new album, ‘All Things Under Heaven’.

Founded by four friends from Edmonton, VALYRIA has developed a cult following based on unique musical storytelling, technical yet melodic songcraft, and high-speed live performances. VALYRIA has performed across Western Canada and supported bands like INSOMNIUM, HELION PRIME, and ARCHSPIRE. With the addition of US-based dedicated vocalist and frontman JORDAN RUTLEDGE (Justicar), the band is setting its sights on returning to the stage after a period of hibernation and conquering new shores and new stages.

Beginning life as a melodic death metal band, VALYRIA has evolved into a unique strain of technical, progressive power metal, inspired by bands like SEVENTH WONDER, SYMPHONY X, and PAGANS MIND with the melancholy beauty of COUNTLESS SKIES, AMORPHIS, and SEVEN SPIRES. While majestic choruses soar over acrobatic bass guitar and agile yet pounding drums, a twin guitar attack replete with shredding solos and razor-sharp tremolo picking propels the band forward with barely-controlled energy, always beneath the veil of shimmering symphonic orchestrations.

On ‘All Things Under Heaven’, VALYRIA are making a poignant statement – that heavy metal in all of its facets can be truly beautiful. The product of a years-long composition and recording process that began in 2019, ‘All Things Under Heaven’ takes listeners on nine adventures, from the rainswept shores of Tsushima Island in the slamming opener ‘Kamikaze’ to the alien geometries of a distant galaxy on the dynamic ‘Cruciform’, the album’s epic science fiction closer inspired by Dan Simmons’ Hyperion Cantos.

Mixed and mastered by the talented ALEX PARRA of Second Sight Sound (JANI LIIMATAINEN, ATROPHY, SADISTIC RITUAL) and with evocative artwork by SAM NELSON (FIRST FRAGMENT, SOULMASS, VALE OF PNATH), ‘All Things Under Heaven’ is a declaration of VALYRIA’s triumphant return, and offers an innovative step in a new direction of heavy metal for any record label willing to embrace it…
